Making more noise is the beauty of it! It's normal.
The only thing that I recommend if you havent done so already after the install is to reset the ecu. You can simply disconnect the battery, wait a few seconds and then reconnect it. Your ecu will be able to adjust to the new setup.

The preferred method of resetting the ECU involves pulling the fuse in the underhood fuse box marked BACK UP for 15 seconds and then replacing it.

The absolute best way to do it is while the car is cold, turn the key to the on position so you can turn off all of your accessories (stereo, ventilation, etc). Then turn the key off and pull the fuse. After you put the fuse back in, start the car up and let it idle until it comes up to temp, being careful not to turn on any accessories or step on any pedals.

I never reset my ecu when I installed my SRI. Do you think that is making any difference? But the noise is part of the mod. I like the extra noise I get.

if you wanna be cautios put a bypass valve on it so you don't suck up an ass load of water when your driving in bad weather conditions with big puddles.

No, after a few days your ECU will slowly adjust itself, it just makes more sense to do it when you first install.
