Default getting back that lost horsepower

is it possible to keep the same B17A engine that came stock but now has 140k on it and by replacing fuel filters/cleaning/polishing and all that junk get the full 160 HP back?

basic regular maintenance is all you need to keep an engine running strong. Even with that mileage, you shouldn't be losing much at all. I'd say at the most the engine makes 7 or 8 horsepower less than when it was new, assuming it's been taken care of.

Really depends on how hard a life it's had. Tore down my boss's '85 CRX today, 2nd owner car with 138k miles and the ring gap was close to .030", max service spec is .024", should go without saying... it was sucking a lot of oil.
