Default B18C1 into EK..... Shaking..... O_O

Hey I swapped in a B18C1 into my EK a week ago. There was major shaking coming from the right axle so I replaced it. That got rid of most of the shaking. There's still SOME shaking though. Not too much, but it is noticable on the freeway when accelerating.. It seems like it's coming from the front of the car. I'm 99.9% certain that the driver side axle is fine.

The weird thing is my friend also has an EK and swapped in a B18C1... He switched both axles with brand new ones and has the same problem as me. Not major shaking just slight shaking, most noticable on the freeway in 4/5th gear.

Anyone got any ideas of what the problem might be?

thanks

:werd: If the are balanced, then check your rotors, since the front are vented the vents can fill up with break dust and rust and make the rotors out of balance. HIH

Bad wheel bearing maybe, if it's not wheel balance. If your wheels are out of balance, usually when you get to speed, you'll feel the steering wheel shimmy in your hands. I'd double check all the nuts and bolt on the suspension as well, make sure everything is torqued properly.

I noticed one night when I hit a bump my hybrids front suspension would clunk, like it was bottoming out or something. I went straight home and put the front on jackstands. When I took the front drivers side wheel off, the brake caliper almost fell out. I had just installed a set of GS-R front brakes (complete front spindles) and aparently whoever had them before me didn't use the old Honda bolts to attach caliper bracket when they changed their rotors, or at least didnt' torque them. One was missing, the other wasn't even finger tight. I pulled my CX's bolt off and torqued them to 80 ft/lbs and it was fine but that was freaky.

Didn't read all the replies, but you should check the intermediate shaft bearing also.
