Default TRANNY IS OUT, i'm pizzumped!!! :)

Well tonight i was saying to everyone that i would probably get the tranny out saturday.. its thursday night when i started to work on it some more. All i had to do when i started was loosen the mounts on the tranny and take off all the bolts on the tranny... then drop the bitch. it took me like 45 mins to figure out how to drop it down cuz it won't just go straight down. Sorry this isn't really Engine TECH, i'm just so pumped right now. 1st time taking off a tranny by myself, no other physical help!! took me 4-4.5 hours total!!

Now time for the ZC tranny with LSD and the 13LBS flywheel!!!!

BTW does anyone want an 88 crx si tranny??? 2nd gear syncro is going out, doesn't grind that much just have to press in the clutch all the way then shift. if no one wants it i'm going to replace the 2nd gear syncro myself and then use it somehow or sell it local for more!!! let me know! good night, even tho its 1 am

hopefully you have a helms manual at hand when you tear apart your tranny (taking the casing off and replacing the synchro's) I just recently tore apart my ITR tranny, takes me like 45 minutes to pull it out completely, then from there installed the JDM Final Drive, which means stripping the countershaft completely and putting all the other gears, synchro's..on the other. And this can NOT be done without a good manual (i.e.: Helms or another like what the dealers use, and haynes nor chilton will work, unless its JUST for a honda tranny) because there is certain things that need to be lined up and such. But good luck with your project, let us know how it turns out.
