OBD1 or OBD2 GSR motor Which is faster?

Default OBD1 or OBD2 GSR motor Which is faster?

Hey I'm getting a 99 GSR motor (OBD2) for my EK. I dont know much about motors but I think i heard somewhere that the OBD1 GSR motors are faster then the OBD2s??? Can sombody tell me if this is true or not and explain it to me. thanks

OBD 1 has slightly better initial power and gets slightly better numbers with mods. OBD 2 has 1/2 the secondary emissions.

The engines are the same. The ECu can effcet power output bt the engines themselves are capable of the exact same power.

YOU can easily convert a car from OBD2 to OBD1 with a harness and an appropriate ECU
