Throttle Body 96 Integra
I have a 96 Integra LS and noticed one day the idle was fluctuating a fraction and over the next couple of weeks it has gotten worse. So I did the tried and true method of squirting carb cleaner around the TB and the intake looking for a vacuum leak and found one on the TB. It is leaking around the throttle cable where it connects to the throttle plate. I was wondering if this is a common problem with these or if it is just a fluke. Anybody ever run across this before and if so I assume there is some bushings in there that are worn out that need to be replaced? Anybody ever replace them or did you just replace the whole assembly?
Sounds like the bushing is just worn out.
You could search around to find someone that could rebuild it for you with an oversize shaft, or disassemble it to see if there's a seal you could possibly replace. The last option would be to replace the TB.
Are you sure you didn't spray the idle air screw on the TB? It's supposed to allow a metered amount of air past...
