Default turbo downpipe???

when you get a turbo kit(DRAG REVHARD)do you get a downpipe with the flex joint built in? Im pretty sure you have to have one on a front wheel drive car. Do you cut your factory section and weld on the included downpipe? Whats the deal?

When you buy a kit, it comes with a bolt-in downpipe. Whether it is solid or solid with a flex section, I don't know.

Why do you need a flex joint? Those are mainly for very torquey engines that rock when revved. Most honda's or any 4cyl for that matter dont move enough to really need one.

my 2002 accord 4 cyl camewith a stock flexjoint right before the cat. My dc sports headers came with a flexjoint built in the downpipe placed right before the cat. When i got my car on the dyno we had the hood open of course and ran it to redline in 2,3, and 4 gear. I was watching the motor when he was running it, and the motor moves pretty drastically when changing gears and really getting in to it.

drag downpipes don't come with the flex pipe.

you MUST get a flex pipe for your downpipe welded in

mine buddy's drag DP cracked from all the normal vibration and torque.

btw: cheapest place to get a flex pipe is www.atpturbo.com
