Default new times for my EVO IX MR...

2006 EVO IX MR, 54k miles, stock clutch...made it out to the track today. only power mods are a dirty K&N filter, and HKS carbon Ti catback. spun my ass off on the cold track and cold tires, but still finally managed to break into the 12's.

next time i go i'll have to remember to soften up my suspension (buddy club racing specs set to autoX stiffness), and let some air out of the tires (48psi front, 44psi rear). that should help me get traction in the cold.

here are the slips:

are you running stock boost? those are really good times for no more than your showing in mods. you must be driving the heck out of it.

i've got a wrx thats about to break into the 12's have the mph (105) just didnt have enough clutch to get a strong 60ft. thats been taken care of now. have a turbo upgrade in the garage that will be going on in the next couple months too.

if i new what i know now back in '03 when i bought the wrx i would have waited for the evo. in my opinion 4g63 is the best 4 cylinder in the industry.

thats a pretty decent time. Have you ever dynoed your car before? If yo get that 60ft down to like 1.7 you should be running solid 12.6-7's all day!

Haven you ever dynoed your car? I'm wondering what i would run in the 1/4
I have a wrx wagon that i just dynoed at 300WHP 307 WTQ on a mustang dyno. Im hoping for 12's

everything's stock except for the mods listed in my sig. dirty air filter, and cat back, that's it.

are there any road courses near you? have you done any autocross or roadcourse track days? if not, i highly highly highly recommend signing up for one. not to rag on drag racing, but going 100% only 12-13 seconds at time versus 15-20 minutes totally blows your mind haha

granted i'm no track expert, but the few events I did with my old evo literally changed my life.

i'm not a drag racer by any means, and i really don't like doing it. i just did it to prove the car was a 12 second car. i bought the car for road racing and autocrossing. i've been autocrossing for probably 6-7 years now
