Ive raced srt-4s at the track and won. I did a 13.48 and the srt did a 13.65

some cars r good from the factory, but is the driver doing hs part, can he shift, can he even drive well, is it tuned right, all that applies, u need to at least have ur shit right

 

i don't know who you are but i know 3 people with srt-4's, the transmissions were shot on all of them, even on the one whos owner took pristine care of it.

 

i think srt4 is overrated, was gonna by one went and test drove and was disappointed, my ls intgra with full exhaust and 50 shot is just as fast as stock srt4. but like everyone said they handle upgrades really well, so now working on lsvtec to go after modified srt's.

 

ages of the drivers? a lot has to do with bad shifts. they dont take them as well as Hondas do.

I know nine people with them. One has had to have his replaced, but he slams the ever loving shit out of his gears.

Go check the forums. Not many in the 10's. Considering I've seen the DCR run at Piedmont Dragstrip many times in person, I have a good idea of what I'm talking about. Go tell your friend with the broken transmission to learn how to shift and he wouldn't have to had his replaced.

SRT-4's are pretty fast. I have raced several. I can get them off the launch no matter how fast they are and can usually hold them off in the 1/4 mile (given they are modded). However, from a roll they are monsters.
