Default GS vs. Beetle turbo

He had his 1.8T or Turbo S or whatever the Turbo Beetles are called, his emblem was not there...so we race, I punch it first, he tears by me and pulls and pulls, 4 cars before 60 mph. I was impressed. At the light I just ask "Turbo?" and hes like "yeah" and I'm like "cool", while thinking "thats why he raped me..."

1.8 turbo Bugs aren't that fast...I think a few have 2.8T's...those things are crazy, like 13 second 1/4 mile from a Bug bone stock!

Certainly faster than a GS Integra. They aren't bad cars if you can get over the whole "bug" thing. Personally, I'd prefer the same engine in a GTi.

1.8Ts are mid 15s stock, maybe low with a great driver.

No V6 in the bugs.

the "2.8T" is a turbocharged VR6. They just swap the normally NA motor and turbo it.

They're extremely difficult swaps, but it has been done. HPA did it, a twin-turbo VR6 engine in a beetle, and routed through an audi TT's AWD system. Dont ask how, I just know it ran under 11.5.

The 1.8T powers the GTI a little better, but its still a respectable engine for a beetle.
