Diablo has a 6spd so I dont think it'll drop the top speed that low. If it did then why buy it if you could top out the car in the quarter?

Yeah... it lowers top speed a lot. From 240+ to a little over 200 (with stock redline). I guess you aren't familiar with a .5:1 6th gear ratio.

I'm f'ing stoked to see the old flash intro again. I remember the first time I saw that I had just traded my GSX Eclipse for the Type R. That was a LONG time ago.

She's not getting any mileage in this weather. I'm actually having fits of depression because I can't drive her. I have to go buy a snow shovel so I can dig her out.

um, 4.10 gears the 1/4 mile times by about 2 tenths mabye a lil more, and i would rather be able to have a faster 1/4 mile time at the track than say that i beat up to 158. I have personally been in a transam that had 4.10's and 4th gear toped out at 110, and 5 th gear still had alot of pull left in it. So basically 4.10 would probaly top out at around 140. I will agree that 4.10's defantely take away from highway racin but that is only if you start from 80. If i race on highway from a 50 roll i would still have my full power band untill about a 105 which is plenty of time to see who is gonna win the race. And from a stop, lets just say that 4.10 easily put my 5.3 second 0-60 to well under 5 seconds.

Integritry- I agree wit ya, this weather fuggin sucks.

Many people have put 4.10's in new 5 speed GT's and it really doesn't hurt performance. Top speed will drop, but I don't think too many people get a chance to max out in a street race. Most street runs are short. 4.10's will favor you in most terrain as well, from pulls out of tight corners to steep hills, and 1/4 mile use on the weekend.

To give you an idea of their true effect here is what they do to 99+ Mustangs: hiway speed in a stock Mustang at 70 MPH you will be at about 2200 rpm. With 4,10's you will hit 2200 rpm at about 60/65mph. I haven't seen numbers or tests but I'm assuming that's approx 20 mph off your top end? Personaly I'd never race someone at that speed without rollbars and 5 point harnesses.

DIDO....I can't wait till spring. I will be in LA on business this weekend and I'm picking up 4 Eibach competition springs and 4 Tokico Ilumas for the GT........and I get to stare at them for 2 months before I can jack the car and install them......I'm going out of my mind.
