I was looking at the Procharger Kit, but after I ran into a boosted GS400 I think I've changed my mind. His "sleeper" luxury car was running a custom twin turbo kit installed by a shop in VA. He put me in contact with the shop and I'm doing a little research on them now. If not a custom kit like his, I may opt to go with Greddy's twin 18G kit. I'm waiting to see the numbers on them before I make any decisions.

This should be fun.

True, but the AWD give an advantage to the WRX. Dont get me wrong I'd rather have a 350z over a WRX but I love AWD cars.

I would look at the supercharger because it will give you bang for your buck at all rpm levels including down low. Procharger is one of the best names in the business. I am willing to bet it is cheeper than the Geddy.

The Lexus was silver, very clean except for the twin cannons it had as mufflers.

The shop's name is Altered Atmosphere and its actually in Southern MD, not VA. (My memory fails me sometimes) Check out there website here. The guy with the GS400 told me that they are in the process of building a 350Z that belongs to the owner. I'm waiting to see how it turns out.

The Procharger costs about $5400 for the kit and an additional $1500 for the UZ Tunepak. From what I can look up the Greddy kit will cost about $6400 for the kit and another $1700 for an intercooler. There is a significant difference, but in the long run, I think a turbo set up is better than a supercharged one. Personal preference.

i agree...the z has very good bottom end already, and the turbo kit will add lots of top-end. plus it's more fun (imo) and sounds more distinct than the charger.

I figured as much. The turbo is an armload more money up front but will provide the biggest increase on top end. Provided you have a place to use the increased top end then it's the way to go. For streetcars, the supercharger setup will have instant get up and go everywhere. Some superchargers can perform almost as well as a turbo on the top end (Paxton Novi) however I'm not sure if they make one for the Z. The ideal setup of course, depends on your driving tastes and the car's redline. The engine may be more suited for a turbo although many people souping up Z's from what I have been reading have favored the procharger set-up. I have no idea why.

I was wrong. The $6400 includes the intercooler. RHOADS64, The prototype was shipped to about 20 different tuner shops before it was put into production. Maybe your friend was trying to get the kit before it was actually available.
