One of the biggest problems with carbon fiber hoods fading is because people use wax on them. CF hoods do not have a clear coat on them. They use a different process all together. The wax will fade and ghost the protective coating.
ya definately what he said..even with the clear coat im afraid to wax it b/c i dont want swirls on it...everytime i just wash it, it comes out perfect anyways.
i dont know if i would use windex on it. ammonia cant be good for anything. I wouldnt even use it to clean you plastic infront of your guages. it will begin to fade that and put a film over it. find a boat polish. the same protective coating on a boat's paint is the same glaze on the cf hoods.
