02 MDX Fold-down Seat Latch

02 MDX Fold-down Seat Latch
The drivers side middle seat latch is not working so I cannot fold-down the seat. The dealer said the cable is broken or something like that. The arrow in the attached picture is pointing to the latch that is not working.
It's a $500 repair that I would rather do myself if I can. Does anyone know how to do this?
