My speedometer is tweaking

Well i just bought a 97 civic and my speedometer is tweakin it works when it wants to i think thats why my check engine lights on,i think its just loose cable but il be damned if i know how to check and see can anyone give me some help ???

I have the same problem, i think its a sensor of some sort??? if anyone knows let us know. Thank you

check the speed sensor fuse and your o2 sensor
