Default Tar mat removal

We are working on our next race car, and we messed with getting the tar mats out for maby half an hour today. Its proving to be a real bitch lol. What does anyone reccomend? I searched for a little bit and saw that someone used a bug and tar remover. Any suggestions?

Yeah, the mats that are on the floor pan. I think we're going to try the dry ice method, thats what everyone said is the easiest.

You could also use a heatgun with a scraper... might be a little messier, but it could be easier than dry ice. I used it on my trunk, took about 1/2 hour....

Looks like were going to try the dry ice out. So far, we got 1/2 of a mat off, and its just scraching the floorpan and making a gooey mess. Hopefully the dry ice will stop that and make life easier. Thanks to the guys who replied, I appreciate your help.
