I need help on adjusting parking brakes and also how to check it as well.
My rear brakes are not wearing out at a same rate. I think it is because of parking brake is not working properly.

 

u're rear brakes is not wearing out the same as the front?? or the bac is not evenly ??

 

you cant adjust parking brakes becuase the back and the front brake pads are both different... You will know when your brakes pads go bad when you start hearing screeching sounds when you brake or reverse...

the majority of braking is perform in the front.. and a little on the back, but mostly in the front... when changing brake pads, it is recommended to get your front rotors resurfaced for decrease future problems...

If the handbrake mechanism inside the caliper is sticky, maybe it's not releasing. Then one rear brake will drag, wearing out faster than the other rear.

Replacing pads won't fix that. It's not really an adjustment, either. Figure out why it's sticking & fix THAT. Maybe the cable is corroded inside it's housing? Maybe something's fouling up the cable under the console? Maybe the spring/lever on the caliper is rusty/sticking or screwed up somehow?
