Duplicolor comes in 500f up to 1100f in the spray cans. You'll only find aluminum shades in the higher temp paints. I used an aluminum spray for my old hedder (Dupli-color) and it turned out great - 4 winters

wouldnt any high temp paint work. i painted my intake tube with the highest temp paint i could find. i heard it helps keep the pipeing cooler. not sure but it need to get painted anyways so i just tried it

 

Not sure. How is the paint holding up on your intkae and how long has it been on there. I just don't want the crap to start peeling and flaking like a month after I do it. What brand did you use? Did you use a primer too?

Well...I went to walmart and found the high temp paint. Duplicaolor 1200 degree in blue. Also got the clearcoat to go with it. Painted my exhaust manifold heat sheild and it looked great. But I baked it in the oven like the can said and it bubbled up. Now I have to resand it and paint again. I accidently set it on broil instead of 600 and it screwed it up. After I readjusted the temp in mid bake it started doing fine. I will post pics by the end of the week when I finish.

 

use VHT caliper and drum paint. its better then the high heat stuff. made to withstand 1400f. good stuff.
