Default Can I paint an AEM CAI

I am entertaining ideas about what kind of color scheme to use for my car. I kind of like dark purple / black / carbon fiber. Not too many people do that. At least not as many as black and red.

Anyway, my CAI is red. So I would have to paint it purple to maintain the theme. What kind of paint could I use to do that, if I decided to? Could I use a high temp paint like people use for brake calipers?

Thanks

i dont see why you couldnt. The intake doesnt really get too hot but since its under the hood the high temp paint would be good. Take pics and post em.

High temp paint will work fine. I used that on my Iceman intake because I got a white one for really cheap, and just painted it red. Make sure you put a few coats on, and it would probably be a good idea to get some clear coat high temp paint to go over the color too.

I just think a red CAI with a black car with cf / dark purple accents would look ghey.
