Default Honda Accord Emblem glue...

I don't know what the previous used to glue it on, but I tried WD-40 to get the emblems off and goo-gone so it would go away. Unfortunately it doesn't or I'm not doing something right. Any suggestion besides telling me to take it off to sand and paint. Thanks in advance.

mine was on there for a while, but last time i waxed, i was determined to get it off, so i splashed it with (zippo type) lighter fluid and scratched it off with my thumbnail... my car is light light gold (heathermist) and i didn't hurt it, but guess you may be able to see it on black if you scratch too hard... took a min or so, but after a few seconds, the glue got soft and gel-ish and came on off.

Use small amounts of adhesive remover. Too much at once will dry the paint out. Im not sure on why you used WD-40, as it attracts dust and debris. Also, if you can get a plastic razor to get the glue off try that, first saturate the glue, and use the razor, and adhesive remover.
