Default brake problem?

This doesn't happen every time, but every once in a while when i slow down to almost a stop but then keep going (like on a stop sign) I hear and feel a "bump" coming from my rear suspension or brakes.. I can't tell exactly what it is or why it's happening because it's hard to reproduce it on command. does anyone know what this might be?

Maybe some of your bushings are worn. I doubt its an actual brake problem.

For the rear mount, try pushing down on a corner and listen for the clunk. To check bushings, just do a visual check.

I just realized you said you can feel a bump too. How did you feel it and where?

Start by checking the thickness of your brake pads. I've found that on some cars as they get thinner, they're allowed to move in the caliper more, and can create an audible clunk that you can also feel inside the car.

If this is the case, you'll probably notice it more when you take off from a stop after resting on the brakes.

it feels like something is bumping up against something else. i know this because the fist thing i checked is to see if i had anything rolling around in the back.
