Default Distrib took a crap.....I think....

....Does anyone know of a test to see if my distributor died on me?

I got up this morning and my ZC wouldn't start....it'd turn over w/ease, but just not starting....I checked the fuel pressure gauge it's fine....so I'm thinking it to be the distributor.....I'm not sure if there are any tests taht I can run to make sure though...I'd hate to go out and buy a new distributor, if it's not it...

And if it's not the distributor...any ideas as to what it might be? TIA.

It could be your Main Relay, when mine died I thought it was my Distrubutor but it wasn't.

Turn your key to ACCII and if you don't hear the fuel pump come on then the Main Relay is dead.

Got it fixed the same day....when I took off the distrib cap, there was this sandy colored dirt that came out...not enough to fill a 2-liter cap.

I also cleaned off hte points...not sure where this "dirt" came from, but it runs great again. Thanks!!
