Default throttle cable

I wanted to know if anyone knew excatly how the nuts on the trottle cable is soupposed to be? I am assuming you just gotta mess with it and adjust it by ear..can you adjust it while the car is running? Or do you have to keep turning it off and on? Also I had just went from DPFI to MPFI and I noticed that the throttle cable on the DPFI is alot longer then the MPFI ones. Would that affect my throttle response or anything else? Can I leave it like that? Well thanks

The nuts attach the cable to a bracket on the Intake Manifold that basically provides stability for it. And get yourself an Si cable, the DPFI is really long.

LOL...Yea I said how long it is. I know where they attatch I just need to know how tight or lose it has to be. Like a measurement would be good..I know in my haynes book it tells you the measurement for the clutch cable but I am too lazy to look for the throttle cable so does anyone know? Would my throttle response be afected using the DPFI cable?? Thanks fouthgen

man start it up..keep it running. adjust it by ear. a normal idle depending on your mods is right under 1 grand. its useful to have a tach also. i idle at like 800 or so. this is assuming you pcv valve is functioning and you have no vacuum leaks.
