Default Anyone remove their Compressor?

I want to loose 40lbs more and since my A/C goes unused I might as well take this heavy ***** out. So how exactly is it held in?

Chiltons doesn't even mention anything more than where it is located. And its tucked in there and I can't really see what the hell is holding it up.

4 bolts hold the compressor to a bracket. Remove the compressor, condensor, lines, compressor bracket, and tensioner for the AC belt.

4 bolts is all? And can I just leave the other **** there? Cuz everyone says it's a waste of time to save like 5lbs pulling out lines. Plus someday I might want to put it back in.

5 lbs is 5 lbs...it's almost insignificant but combined with other small decreases in weight it will add up and help...also with all the lines out it makes accessing the engine much easier

don't forget the a/c radiator and fan too...they add some weight...when i took mine out i got near 60lbs (bathroom scale)...but i stripped the engine bay clean of whatever else was in there that i didn't need...i also took a bunch of stuff out of the interior that was connected to the a/c system

My car never had powersteering. I think only a few Auto Hatches and Sedans even came with it.
