I'm not sure you are familiar with the dinamics of an oil pan.... there is the outer skin... with the "wicked dent," then there is the inner grate that is held inside the pan. And its not a show car so you answer is... I don't care.

And for resurfacing, I had it inspected and there was no corrosion of the aluminum, and no warping. So I just cleaned it up.

I am familiar with how honda oil pans are, but I have the bucking bars and body hammers to bang it flat from the out side. I usually try to fix the metal if I'm going to spiffy it up is all.

As long as it isn't warped, I retract my suggestion.
