I'm not sure you are familiar with the dinamics of an oil pan.... there is the outer skin... with the "wicked dent," then there is the inner grate that is held inside the pan. And its not a show car so you answer is... I don't care.

And for resurfacing, I had it inspected and there was no corrosion of the aluminum, and no warping. So I just cleaned it up.
