I have never heard of such a thing. Why would you even want an airbag kit? The damn thing will break your nose in a crash, IF they even deploy. You may be able to install one from a 5G or newer, but I don't know. There are a lot of electronics that need to be installed, not to mention it is all very expensive.

(I am obviously not a big fan of airbags)

dude...he's talkin about airbag suspension...not the things that explode in a crash...they replace you shocks and springs i think...it's like an all show no go kinda thing...i've heard that airbags really suck, and the ride is awful...they mess up easily if they're not installed just right...i dont know...i'd get like a JIC magic suspension kit instead of bags...you have total adjustability with those...later

:slap: oops. (wait... did you edit the word "suspension" in there? I could have sworn it didn't say that when I read it this morning)

That aside, air bag suspensions are even worse then SRS airbags IMHO. They're heavy, they kill your ride quality, and they're pretty useless. Expensive and hard to install, too. That said, I think there was a company that advertized in SCC that sold kits, but I don't know if they had one for the EF body.

Even if it's bolt-in you will still have to drill holes for HPA lines and mount the compressor and run wires for everything... not cool.

I am thinking of the right thing now, right? An compressor fills the tank, lines run to the suspension and depending on the air pressure/volume in the bags it varies the height, yeah? Pressurize to raise and vent to lower? I'm not exactly a "ghetto school of suspension" graduate.

Default Yep

I'm into import performance a bit, but nothing is more pleasing to my eye than a slamed to the ground vehicle. I found an air strut kit which are shock struts but with a heavy duty bag where the spring would be. There is a large margin for mistakes in just adding bags but since the struts bolt right in and there is no cutting to be done it's pretty safe. not much weight is added with bags, the ride is a bit rough and bumpy, but even race cars bump around on city roads. And with an adjustable ride height from frame to the ground to oem height, its the best of both worlds.

An air compressor and tank is heavy, no way around that.

A race car is bumpy because it's tight. A car with airbags is bumpy because it's loose. Big difference.

If you like it, do it, no question... it's your car.

air bags/ air struts are pretty much show only, i used to have bags on a mazda truck i had and that thing rode like ass. it looked good when it was dumped, but that was only when the truck was parked, really loose i thought i was cool and dumped it, went around a corner to fast and flipped it. IMHO go with coilovers 0-4" drop, but it is your car

If you are going to do such a ridiculous thing at least get Air Cylinders, not bags. The bags will rub on other parts of your suspension and rip all the time. TEHO I guess, but when I was showing all the time I had a company who was going to sponsor me with a set of air cylinders. I never did it after riding in some other people's cars, thank goodness. It feels like you are in a boat the thing waves around so much. And if you ride around with them all the way up the ride is so harsh that you can feel a cigarette butt in the road.
