I have an older 87 CRX and curious how warm other CRX users engines are running? My temperature guage is around 50-60% going up hills for long periods of time, around 25% on flat ways and maybe 10% downhill. Is this normal temperature operation? Thanks.

sounds like ur thermo is bad or going bad.....it should reach normal hieght (sp?) after about 5-10mins or whatever dep. on the weather.....

it should not rise or drop once the normal temp has been reached which is about half way or so, give or take (up or a down a litte), i'd replace ur thermo and see if that helps...

about $30 form honda dealer, and 2 bolts to unscrew, fairly easy

I would have to agree, I'm running a zc with my same old radiator and once it gets warmed up the temp doesnt move, no matter the weather or how I drive it, never gets hot

yah with a radiator working properly, the proper coolant mixture and ur cooling system working correctly and not leaking fluid somewhere u shouldnt be experiencing that problem, do u ever have to add fluid to it? or does the needle just like to move around? id say replace ur thermostat do half and half coolant and water and check all ur hoses and radiator for leaks, also check the old coolant for large amounts of oil to see if u have a leak somewhere in ur engine, if ur not losing coolant newhere and arent putting in more water then just replace the coolant and the thermostat and leave it alone see if it fixes ur problem
