AEM cold air extention GONE, read!

AEM cold air extention GONE, read!
Okay me and my friend were going on the on ramp to the highway and my friend said he heard scrapping noises all the time.
We got on the highway, but right away all of a sudden DUNK...DUNK...!!! i look in my rear view mirror and there it goes my fuking Cold air extention with my K&N filter... MOTHER TRUCKER!!!! well i pull over and i'm like SHIT and i was about ready to just leave it there but then i remembered... 1. i have no job... 2. i have no filter.
So i stop again and i get out and run my ass off to get it (its in the middle of the highway... i grab it and on the way back to my car i get winded... (far run!!! lol) and i get back and i finallly look at it, my extention, half of it is smashed metal to metal and my filter got smashed but not too bad. so i took off the filter and put it on and drove home, and i still have it on to this day... (this all happened around April 1st. lol.
So now i need a new extention and filter, and was wondering if those Cold air intakes with cheap filters are actually worth it for an 88-91 civic/crx? will i lose hp at all, going from AEM cai to a cheap no name brand??? in my profile i still have the picture of the extention!!!!

thats hilarious thanks for making my day better, just go buy a whole new intake itll cost u a whopping 35 dollars or if ur really strapped for cash just get tubing from like a hardware store and make ur own for like 5 bucks but make it relaible so u don't get crap in ur manifold

haha, your welcome crxb16er, it was pretty funny... the best part was when i was running.. lol, that was a far sprint... a good 1/2 mile there and back!!!! i was dead after. but yeah i'll probably just get some cheap pos thing. later
