Default Auto to Manual swap

hey ive got a 90 hatch dx and am planning on swapping a b16a engine into it, but right now its an automatic, so im hoping someone can help me out on how hard its gonna be to switch it to a manual trans, what exactly i should be doing, and also if you have any other good recommendations on better engines than the b16. any help i could get would be awesome

wow, youre like my honda-project brother

I TOO have a 1990 dx auto that i will be swapping both a b16a and manul tranny

and i TOO enjoy the sounds of The (International) Noise Conspiracy.

i believe the list is as follows for the tranny swap:

clutch pedal, (retrieve from junkyard)
tranny (packaged with motor?)
shift linkage (retrieve from junkyard again, or EBAY )
clutch cylinder (got me where im finna find this, and is this necessary if you have a cable tranny?)
shifter and knob (cheap knockoff shorty from ebay will do the trick)
oh yeah, and a clutch and fly if that isnt with the tranny.

possibly new gauge cluster (again look to the junkyard or ebay, there is quite the overstock of 4th gen parts in both)

btw, search button owns j00

yeah you need a clutch cylinder, and thats what i thought, but im not positive about the re-wiring so it knows its not an auto anymore, and where are you getting your engine at fujiwara? anyways does anyone have any ideas on a turbo for the b16a

what re wiring? the only thing thats interested or understands its an auto is

1. transmission, (cured by new trans)
2. guage cluster, (cured by new gauge cluster from stock SI)
3. Brake pedal interlock (curing this may be as easy as replacing the shifter mechancism, it seems thats where the click comes from when the brake unlocks it)

nothing else in the car governs the tranny as far as i can tell...and youre going to put a new ECU in with a swap anyway

im thinking of getting my motor from either JDMfaze who seem a little pokey on their replies and are new and located in canada, or from HMOmotorsonline.com or whatever, they have my motor for around 1g without shipping, and that includes everythign but the pedal.

Good luck on the wiring. I know from experience that it is a nightmare if you want everything to work properly.
