Default B16 tranny problem?

Hows everyone doing? Its been a long time. Been in the hospital w/ a collapsed lung & taking it easy now.Blessed to still be here.

Well we had like 3 ft of snow. Anyway, the other day was coming from seeing my dr. & I ran over some snow which was frozen. My car was driving fine the whole day. When I got caught by the light it felt like someone hit me from the back twice. I didn't look when it happened. I drove home. It went in every gear fine but as I was driving it felt like something was hitting my shifter. I was thinking it's either a bad pass axle or something broke in tranny.
The next day took a look & its alot of fliud prob tranny fluid. Nothing is hanging. When looking under car around shift linkage etc its wet( tranny) fluid. I'm sure its not oil. Does it sound like I need another tranny or axle.
I've had this tranny going on 3 yrs. BTW its a Y1 non lsd B16 tranny.Another thing car sat from Jan 12 to Wed just passed from being in hospital.

Any suggestions apreciated,
Thanks

glad to hear you're okay and recovering!

sounds like a block of ice or some other debris put a crack in your transmission or somewhere and caused the fluid to drain out.

at this point i would put in some motor oil (cheaper) and see where it comes out. if it looks like there was a lot of fluid underneath your car, your trans is probably dry, as there are only 2.3 qts of fluid in there.
