i put put on a bomb muffler with a 4inch tip(looks funky cause it sideways instead of comeing strait out) and i can barely even hear it,is there any free/cheep ways to make it louder?there is screen looken stuff in the muffler,is there a way to take it out and wood that make it louder?

 

get the kind of muffler that is loud.

its kinda deep a low rpms but just doesnt got that loudness at high rpms.

 

did you have the muffler installed on to your stock exhaust? if so then you might want to take out the middle resonator. that might make it louder. just don't drive next to me, please.

 

i cut the stock muffler off and bolt on the new muffler?is the middle resonator the screen looken stuff in the muffler?

the wider the tip the louder the exhaust...i had a 4" tip on a car and after 2 weeks cut if off at the muffler and installed a 2.5" tip and the car sounds much quieter at all rpm...sounds more aggressive than buzzy too

the reason is the wider the tip the bigger the echo the louder the sound...depending on the size of the muffler's interal passage it does no good for power (only looks and sound)...for ~$60 bring it to a muffler shop and have it cut off and a smaller tip welded on (stainless steel requires a stainless steel tip)

 

Man if 4" isn't loud enough.....you might see if anyone has the bell from a tuba and weld that sucker on!!!!!
