Default Door panels

On my CRX i have manual windows, and i want to take off the door paneling. However the window crank is in the way. So how to I remove the window crank to get the door paneling off?

There's a little u-shaped pin that flexes outward holding the crank in place. You need to get under the crank with something that has a hook on the end of it and pull it out. You can buy a tool specific for this, or you can duct tape a paper clip to a flat head screw driver. Or any other similar method.

I always have a paperclip window crank tool in the glove box of my cars that require one.

You can also take a thin rag and wrap it across the open end of the crank clip, between the crank and the door panel. Work the rag side-to-side, pulling against the open end of the clip to release it.

To install, put the clip on the crank FIRST. The crank will just click into position. Do this slowly to be sure you have the end of the crank pointing in the direction you intend. That way you can have the driver's and passenger's cranks in the same orientation. -scott

aim the crank upward, there should be an openening where you can shove a thin screw driver through.. just pry it off with the screw driver, I did it yesterday..
