I always have a paperclip window crank tool in the glove box of my cars that require one.

You can also take a thin rag and wrap it across the open end of the crank clip, between the crank and the door panel. Work the rag side-to-side, pulling against the open end of the clip to release it.

To install, put the clip on the crank FIRST. The crank will just click into position. Do this slowly to be sure you have the end of the crank pointing in the direction you intend. That way you can have the driver's and passenger's cranks in the same orientation. -scott
