Well, got my tags for my CRx FINALLY!!!

I need a little work oh my own and a new water pump and timing belt and this baby will be good to go!

Anyways, i was wondering what i should order...

a AEM Cai w/ bypass value or the Normal Short Ram AEM intake!?

who has the AEM CAI on their civic or crX?

Is the power difference that big a notice/difference?

I know this probably won't answer your question, but don't waste your moeny on AEM..even though all your pals will ooh and aahh at your brand new shiny "AEM" intake. You can get the el cheapo off ebay and it works the same. You won't notice a difference.

Take your choice. If you plan to road race the car-you may want to check the rule books. I run Improved Touring and am allowed a short ram-so that is what I have. We have no idea what improvement in power there is with either the short or CAI from AEM. The big disadvantage of a CAI is that you must keep it out of puddles-even with the valve you need to be careful.

So take your choice whether it is a daily driver or race car. Spend your money wisely and enjoy.

Though this is true, it'd take a HUGE puddle for it to actually hydro-lock your engine.

We've all heard the stories, maybe 2 or 3 stories....now take those 3 stories and divide that by the amount of people who have CAI's. You have a nth of a percent chance of hydro locking.

heh. its not all about intakes. its about the filters. that i have found to be the most important peice. you buy an ebay crap intake. you get in general, crap results.

buuut you can buy a crap ebay cai intake, and throw on a k&n filter. thats fun. and cheep.
