9* Accord Civic CRV CRX Del Sol Odyssey Prelude
85-98** 86-98 97-98 85-91 93-97 95-98 85-98
CYP Sensor (Cylinder)
defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor
* not a valid code for any throttle body injection
any one have any idea how to get rid of this or a diagram
the car is a 90 crx si with a dohc zc with a t3/t4 turbo
i'm asking for a friend and i figure you guys might have an answer

code 9 on the DOHC ZC usually means that your camshaft timing is not correct or the Cylinder Sensor on the end of the exhaust camshaft is not wired up right

thats what i was thinking but we found on the hondata software that the fuel was cut by -20% so that might be the problem. if not do you have/ or know where i can get a diagram from?

you shouldn't need a diagram - the blue/green wire that originally went to the Si distributor should go to the blue/green wire at the green connector on the Cylinder sensor - the blue/yellow wire that originally went to the Si distributor should go to the blue/yellow wire at the green connector on the Cylinder Sensor - my bet is that camshaft timing is not correct
