I have some questions about a turbo kit
The Information about it is: T3 T04E Turbo Charger, .50 A/R Compressor, .63A/R Turbine 3" Inlet & 2" Outlet, 300 to 350HP
5-Bolt Turbo Exhaust Flange
Civic D16 Stainless Steel Exhaust Manifold
Blow Off Valve + 2.5" Aluminum BOV Flange Pipe Kit
38MM Wastegate, 8PSI
Turbo Oil Feeding Line kit
2.5" Stainless Steel Downpipe
Boost Controller
I dont know anything about them, but I would really like to get one.

yeah it is the manifold. i may see if i can get a DC manifold instead of that one. but i dont really know if they make a turbo exhaust manifold or not. i can get this kit for 400$ so i am very skeptical about what it is. or it could just be a freaken sweet deal. but hell if i know

been there done that
cheap turbo kits usually have a few problems...
- cheap parts
- poor fit
these can lead to you spending even more money in the future to fix the shit that break.
save money, do research, and buy quality parts. im guessing you found this kit on ebay?

You will not produce those power numbers on stock internals; they will break. So if you aren't willing to re-sleeve the cylinders, upgrade to stronger rods and improve the valvetrain to handle a turbo of that size, then stay away from doing a turbo setup. Reliable power is not cheap, and it would suck to spend money on a turbo kit only to blow the motor because you didn't spend the extra money for the motor to handle it.
Do more homework.

I have found some pistons that lower the compression to 8.5:1, If i do infact do a turbo it will not be on my current motor(D16A6) of 199,000 miles. i plan to do it on a zc dohc motor, that is not quite as used as mine(57,000mi). but i will also do the pistons on those as well. i wasn't sure if i needed to rods with as low boost as that is running, and for that matter do i really need the lower compression pistons

You dont need to rebuild the bottom end (ie pistons, rods) if you are going to be running lower boost. A fresher ZC can handle decent boost, depending on the tune. You could rebuild your engine bottom to top and have a shitty tune and still blow holes in your block and your pockets. Dont buy cheap ebay kits, it will only lead to future problems like someone had already stated. To be quite honest, I dont believe a lot of those kits are generally safe. If you arent willing to spend money on quality parts, then it might be better if you didnt get into boosting anything. I dont mean to shoot down your dreams, I would just rather see someone make smarter/safer decisions.

yeah sure, just shoot them down..jk... but you are right, for the money that it is it probly isnt the best choice in parts.. i guess im just going to go with the ZC motor and just drive it.. maybe eventually getting into a small bottle or something. thanks for your input guys.... it saved me from making a potentially disasterous choice..
