You dont need to rebuild the bottom end (ie pistons, rods) if you are going to be running lower boost. A fresher ZC can handle decent boost, depending on the tune. You could rebuild your engine bottom to top and have a shitty tune and still blow holes in your block and your pockets. Dont buy cheap ebay kits, it will only lead to future problems like someone had already stated. To be quite honest, I dont believe a lot of those kits are generally safe. If you arent willing to spend money on quality parts, then it might be better if you didnt get into boosting anything. I dont mean to shoot down your dreams, I would just rather see someone make smarter/safer decisions.
