B16 Tranny
What's up everyone,
I've been noticing alot of people use a B16 tranny with a B18 C1/Gsr motors.
Was just wondering because I thought the Gsr trannies were already good.

Its all in the gearing the B16 tranny will keep the motor in the sweet spot but the down side to it is that will be at around 5K rpm at 80 mph while the B18 will be at around 4K at 80 mph so it will be a screamer when cruising.

well in the cable its easier to find the b16 tranny and the b18 tranny, the gsr cable is a little rare. the ls tranny is crap unless boosted, and the b16 is a good tranny to whoop up on 5.0s(4.9 lol) better yet put a cable ls 5 main and countershaft gear in the b16 tranny and have a highway gear!
