Default Turbo D15A3?

I just bought a 1986 Honda Civic Si last week. (Got a great deal on it, newly rebuilt motor) My question is this: Would it be recommended to throw a turbo on this stock D15A3 without working on the internals? I had a turbo on my '89 Integra and I had to swap the connecting rods out of a '86 Integra as they're a little more stout... (she's long gone now, due to a completely unrelated turn of events)

And if my Si can handle a turbo, how much psi?

Years ago there was a guy (turbocrx) who built and marketed turbo kits for the 1st gen CRX. Essentially, with an adapter plate you can bolt a small turbo to the HF exhaust manifold which will bolt up to the stock Si block. He and many others back in the day ran 6psi w/o an intercooler on stock internals. IIRC, though, he supported the forced induction with larger injectors, an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, manual boost controller, boost gauge, an MSD BTM, a blowoff valve, and a custom exhaust. -scott
