you need the driver's side mount that bolts to the end of the block from another EF engine - the Y8 has the cooling fan switch on the thermostat housing instead of the back of the block like EF engines - you need to extend the wires and put a different connector on that will plug into the switch - the Y8 has the MAP sensor on top of the throttle body instead of on the firewall like EF cars - you need to extend the wires for the MAP connector so that it will plug into the MAP on the throttle body - you could use the firewall MAP by running a vacuum line from the intake manifold - i would use the one on the throttle body - in order to run the VTEC engine correctly, you should convert the car to run OBD1 - you would then need a OBD0 to OBD1 ECU jumper and an OBD2 to OBD1 distributor jumper - if you are going to try to run it OBD0, you will need to use the OBD0 A6 distributor and you won't need an injector resistor box (unless you swap OBD0 injectors onto it) - running it OBD0 is not a good idea as there isn't a SOHC VTEC D-series ECU that is OBD0 - you would need some kind of rpm switch to engage the VTEC - problem with this is that when VTEC engages, the engine requires more fuel and increased ignition timing which the OBD0 ECU won't be able to provide like the OBD1 ECU would

im probley going to use a p06 chiped to vtec and run a custom map, im going to retain use of a pm6 intake manifold due to the motor being out of an automatic it has a 3 wire IAVC or whatever it is, instead of the 2 wire like the manual and ill run it for a while at obd0 a bit later after i work out bugs, i will add all the wires in the stock harness and get everything done ill tretain the obd1+ injectors and depin and changed the clip so all the red wires with black stripe connect with the yellow wire with black stipe. basic wiring is simple i was wondering what about the crank sensor on the y8?

the mount is exactly the same as the ef d15 d16, just some minor trimming on the timing cover
