Pennzoil 10w-30 for the summer, 5w-30 in the winter. The dino-oil and my civic seem to get along quite well.

i just went to surf that fram website and i didnt read anything that said it had the bypass valve
and if said the filter is good for 7000miles, do you still change the filter after 3000miles or do you actually wait it out untill 7000miles ??

FRAM X2 Extended Guard Oil Filter incorporates the FRAM® SureGrip® feature to make your oil changing easier and a specially designed silicone anti-drain back valve and long-life PTFE-coated exterior gasket.

I change everything at the same time, Its just a habit.

See how the old frams stack up such as the tough guard and double guard.
