Im investing in a 91 crx-si as a parts car. I need to know if there are any major differences between the two that would make this impossible?

no major differences - i don't even know of any minor differences

No differences. You'll be fine.

The '88 and '89 models differ slightly.

A friend of mine is selling his 91 for 700.00 I told him I'll buy it and if he doesnt mention it to anyone else I'll give him 800.00. Its got new coilovers a sleak non ricer bodykit new paint and a sold clean interior. Lots of performance upgrades as far as the bolt on engine components go but it does have some small engine issues related to the parts i replaced in mine which will work well because mine 90 just got a rebuilt engine and ive been doing all the mechanical clean up to it. Yet no upgrades; so I plan on going frankenstein and swapping out parts to get one sleak clean crx and its ugly stepsister (stepsister goes to girlfriend who needs a car) that I can continue to work on on the side.
