My First CRX ^_^
wow is the forum dad or am I just that boring??
Anyways, so I have been reading up on the billions of "mini-me" threads to gather up info and a general parts list and besides all the usual tune-up parts I want to make sure I have whats needed. Also theres a few things I got confused about after hearing obd0/1/2 and hundred thousand times...
What I have so far:
sohc jdm zc
lsd L3 tranny
vtec head (complete) from either 98 or 00 (cant fucking remember)
Parts I still need but not sure of haha:
P28 ecu?
vtec controller (vafc)?
Harness to convert crx from OBD0 to OBD2 right since the head is from a 98 or 00
I am also not sure of what:
Timing Belt
Cam/gear
dizzy
Also from what I read the Y8 metal head gasket is the way to go vs. the cometic one.
I realize this has prolly been covered many times I just cant seem to find anyone with as random a set as I have. Hence the confusion.
And on top of all this, I was getting on the freeway today headed to work, and I am shifting gears and watching the RPM's shoot up while practically going no where... I can smell the clutch and its deff on its last few weeks im sure... Also not sure of what clutch flywheel combo I can run. I think its anything for 88-90 right?

Check the adjustment on your clutch.
There should be a little freeplay at the throwout lever (the transmission end of the clutch cable) when you check it. No freeplay means you're basically driving around the clutch pedal partly depressed. (hence slippage)
I don't have any info on mini-me swaps. (but, I think ODB-2 requires an oxygen sensor after the cat in addition to the one at the manifold)

Thx for the tip on the O2 sensor Chris, as far as the clutch I dont think that is my problem, tho somethingI will check anyways.. I can deff feel the clutch engage and disengage. Ya never tho, so thx again.
So since I have to pull the tranny to fix whatever my grinding problem is, be it a clutch fork or whatever, I am going to replace the clutch as well. Its slowly getting worse by the week so I'm just going to change it.
Based of a previous post I read I will be safe purchasing a 88-89 clutch kit? I don't see a real reason to get a after market flywheel but if I find a good price I just might.

thats the confusing part lol if 88-89 are same and 90 - 91 are same why do they post it as 88-00 but say 88 will not fit haha.
IM actually really interested in finding the best solution to this because like I mentioned before, I have my friend whos practically giving me a new set of coilovers but they are from his 1990 hatch. If it requires switching the rear amrs, I think I can do that no problem...
Also I just read on the ZC forum that the factory zc lsd was really rare and hard to find. Cool for me I guess if the gears were not trashed. Anyone know where to locate the proper parts to fix this. I have never rebuilt a tranny before but with the proper manual or how-to I think I can handle it.

Been a while since I updated... been hanging around d-series.org since I am trying to figure otu what to do motor wise for the car...
I have piked up these items tho
Energy Suspension kit
neuspeed race springs
89+ rear lcas
and your basic tune up parts seals plugs filters etc
Still need:
clutch/flywheel
brakes
shocks
trailing arm kit
Once I get all that I will put the car in the garage and do it all over a weekend.
Got fired 2 weeks ago so that slowed things down in a major way.
