i just bought a 89 hatchback and what engine should i get pls help me out

Yeah, that's true but why get a H22 since he's already have a B16 & 17. He's just starting out. You can have good performance out of a B16 maybe not the greatest amount of torque & also suspension problems. H22's are heavy.
I have a B16 in my EF & love it. When I want more torque I just hop in my DC2 & go.
Everyone has what they like.

wut are you stupid h22 is heavy but makes up for ti wif that 2.2 vtec...best swap to do is either Gsr or b16a both very easy for ef H22 and k20 makes you cut the firewall in and have to get a custom mounting kit and suspension. about 4k in labor and parts without motor or tune.

For one hell no I'm not stupid champ. 2nd the kid is only 17 so he might not have the money for H22 etc. Besides why take out his B16 for more torque in a H22. He could turbo/supercharge his B16 & make more power than a H22 of what he'd have to spend on motor swap/labor.
Also you have to make room for H22 to fit.
