Default Never worked on engines before and...

I'm currently swapping out my old D16a6 engine (blown valve, 270,000 miles) for a d16a6 zc longblock. The Car is a 1990 Civic CRX-Si from JDM. At this point all wires and hoses are disconnected from the engine itself. I need to drain the trans then disconnect all peripheral tranny parts, the speedometer cable, the clutch cable and 4 mounts then lift it. I tagged both ends of everything and boxed everything including the screws (ind. labeled and bagged.) I've ordered the 'new' engine from Rising Sun Engines in Cali. 740.00 for the longblock (w/ new water pump and timing belt) including shipping here to phoenix.

I'm using the '90 Civic CRX service manual letter for letter.

How difficult is it going to be to continue on and pull the engine then swap off intake/exhaust manifold, PGM-Fi / fuel rail, sensors (new TPS,) tranny, ect. ect. (feel free to finish my list for me) I'm very mechanically oriented but I don't do car work until now.

Any advise, ideas, or questions and I'd love to hear them. If u use myspace at all I have some pics up and i attached a few to this post.

typically, a long block will have the intake manifold, exhaust manifold, etc. already on it - you should be able to just swap your flywheel and clutch onto it and drop it in

The TPS should be fine unless broken. The O2 sensor is a good idea.

You say the T-belt and water pump is new, so replace the plugs (and wires if yours are old.) Pull and check the injectors and replace the injector O-rings. Otherwise, it should be fine along with the obvious oil and filter swap.
