Default Redline?

Does anyone know what my B18a1 motor redlines at. I know it has to do with what ecu i got but i don't know...how would i find out?

rev it up until hit hits the fuel cut-off and see what the tachometer says

So will it just not go any higher then when it hits the cut off?

heh.... Unless someone chiped the ECU, then you can do some damage, so dont go above 8600.....

Mine rev's to 10k.... Dont ask... Previous owner was a tard....

The redline is a mechanical limitation, not an electrical one. Once you get to the redline indicated on the tachometer, the engine is near the limit of what it can handle without damage. The electronic fuel cut rev-limiter is to keep idiots who pass redline from blowing up the engine.

The B18A1 redlines at 6500RPM, the powerband starts to fall off between 6-6,3k.
