91 CRX Si, dashlights are dim but are working. DImmer switch is set to max. Has brand new alternator. car has 230,000 miles on it and everything else is great. Bulbs are probably the originals. COuld they just be dimming with age? All thoughts are welcome and appreciated.

 

It sounds like a bad ground or a failing dimmer switch... an electrical fault either way.

Less likely would be low output from the new alternator. It's worth checking.

 

It was doing it "before" I replaced the alternator as well. I am going to check the ground and get a can of contact cleaner to clean the rheostat inside the dimmer switch.
