i just bought an 89 crx, and it is sexy as a mofo, and i love it. the perfect car for me. i already have a 98 gsr motor to put in. so i was wondering, should i just go the whole sleeper route, or go show.

whats yall's personal opinion

and ohh yeah, when i say show, i dont mean ricerish, never, eww, but just you know, to where people know if they race me they will get their ass whooped, or totally oblivious!!

I'd go sleeper. My crx is butt ugly. Faded primer black paint job, messed up front bumper, metal flake blue hood(horrible paint job, I wanted to experiment), cracked windshield. Yet, it has a b16a in it. I've blown all kind of cars away, and they get pretty shocked when it happens, lol.

Not a fan of show cars unless it's for competition in car shows or something where there is a potential to make money. Seriously, if you spend money on making the body look good and you are going to be driving it around a lot, it will deteriorate over time and the money you spent will go to waste. At least while focusing on performace, you are getting more out of it and you learn a lot by doing things yourself.

I'd rather have a car that looks like crap but will last a lifetime and move quickly rather than a shiney, lowered shitbox that is nothing more than a polished turd.

Swap it, and drive it, then tell me if you want to make it a "show" car...

P.S. what motor does it have now?

Actually install the B18C1. After that you will probably be too broke to go "show."
