Default bad starter?

my 91 civic doesnt start. it clicks but it doesnt turn over. i have already had the main relay fixed and it doesnt matter what temp it is. It started off when it took a few clicks till it would click and then start over, but now it rarely starts after many clicks. any ideas what this could be from?

Sounds like your on the right track. It could be the starter or the battery. How old is your battery?

Yeah I have that similar problem on sometimes mine will click after several tries & then it'll fire up.I doubt it's your battery only because I've had my orig. one 4 yrs since had car. Is your motor stock? I have a B16 but not sure which starter will fit . Good luck

i know this post is old but i went to take off my starter to get it checked and i ended up running out of time at the last minute so i put everything back together. now it starts every time. does this mean my starter is going out? or maybe a loose connection.

Your starter is on its way out. If your battery shows 12.5 volts and you still get clicking, then its a starter problem.
